All Natural Himalayan Dog food company ‘Dogsee Chew’ received INR 2 crores (USD 0.32 Mn) from angel investors Renu Balyan and Jyotshna Bapat.  Dogsee Chew is founded by serial Entrepreneur Bhupendra Khanal, whose earlier ventures include Analytics Consulting firm Marketelligent and Social Media Analytics company, Simplify360.

The company, which provides healthy and organic dog treats sourced from the Himalayas confirmed the receiving of funds and also disclosed that their future plan include expansion of product portfolio and exports. All their products are healthy, natural and human grade. The company further confirms that they will continue to do that for their entire portfolio.

Renu Balyan is a Delhi based Angel investor who is a pet parent herself and is an avid animal lover. Jyotsna Bapat, an Associate Professor at IIT is a celebrated Angel investor based out of Bangalore.

Currently Dogsee Chew has 7 SKU of products and sells in over 20 states of India. Dogsee Chew is also very involved with welfare of Indie dogs. Their recent adoption campaign ‘Bengaluru Opts To Adopt’ was a huge hit. It created quite a storm on Twitter by trending at #1 for a continuous 5 hours.

Speaking more about the investment, Bhupendra adds, “We are also very happy with the timing of this investment as very shortly we are launching the first ever human grade dog cookies. It is going to revolutionize the market as the product is unlike any available right now.”

Bangalore-based Dogsee Chew started operations in 2015. They source their products from the best of manufacturers and suppliers in the Himalayan range – Nepal and Darjeeling. The products are made as they have always been traditionally made, un-tampered and without any modern intervention.
