As part of its expansion strategy in India, eatigo signed an Asset Purchase Agreement in April 2017 to acquire the operations of Ressy, an Indian online restaurant reservation platform. By leveraging the rise of e-commerce in India and the growing trend of eating out, eatigo is set to become a market leader in the restaurant reservation app space in India as well.
Supported by Ressy’s team in Mumbai and Pune as well as their merchant base, users will be able to choose from a wide selection of dining options, from upscale hotel locations to international food chains and family restaurants. The process is seamless and does not require any form of payment – users need not pay upfront or even use their credit cards to confirm a booking.
